Summer Vacations

8 days / 7 nights

 

Day 1-Arrival / Tbilisi / Mtskheta

Arrival at Tbilisi International Airport and hotel transfer. Tbilisi city tour: Old Tbilisi, Meidan, sulfur baths, Holy Trinity Cathedral, the fortress Narikala, Metekhi plateau, The Peace glass bridge, the Old city wall, Sharden street and other sightseeing. Mtskheta(ancient capital of Georgia) city tour:  The cultural monuments of the region are under UNESCO protection and have been declared as world heritage monuments. We visit the Svetitskhoveli, Cathedral of Mtskheta, where is saved the biggest treasure of the Georgian Church, the Shirt of the Lord. Also visit the monastery of Jvari. Dinner and overnight in Tbilisi.

 

Day 2-Sighnagi / Bodbe

After breakfast, departure to Signagi, the capital of wine and “Love City” of Georgia. The city will fascinate you with its traditional architecture, beautiful streets and cozy atmosphere, while overlooking the Alazani valley. Lunch and wine tasting of fine Georgian local wines at a local winery. Visit Bodbe, one of the major pilgrimage sites in Georgia, as it is associated to Nino of Cappadocia (4th c. female Georgian evangelist). Departure to Tbilisi and overnight.

 

Day 3-Kutaisi / Batumi

Early in the morning, departure to Batumi. En route, we visit Kutaisi. Kutaisi, is one of the oldest cities in the world, as it was the capital of the ancient kingdom of Colchis, where Argonauts came across while in search of the Golden Fleece. Our journey begins with a visit to the historic city center, the White Bridge, Pushkin Street, Mon Plaisir, the old college building, City Garden, the State Historical Museum. Then we will visit the royal residence (today Municipal Court building), the Jewish quarter, synagogue, Khareba church. Departure to Batumi, hotel check in and evening city tour. We visit the Batumi Boulevard(7 km) and also the dancing fountains. Free evening.

 

Day 4-Batumi / Botanical Garden / Gonio / Sarpi

After breakfast, visit the Botanical Garden - one of themselves large gardens in the world. There is a collection of over 5000 plant species, including about 2 thousand species of trees and bushes. Next, we visit Gonio Fortress (1st century BC), which is referred as early Apsaros. It is located 15 km from Batumi, on the left bank of the river Chorokhi. Next we go to Sarpi (the border of Georgia and Turkey). Return to Batumi and city tour. We visit the Catholic Church (2000), th synagogue (1904), the Cathedral of the Virgin Mary (1898-1902) and the Gregorian Church. Also visit the archaeological and religious museum, art galleries, the Era Square with the statue of Medea, and the famous Batumi Piazza, where concerts take place. Free evening.

 

Day 5-Batumi / Mountainous Adjara

After breakfast excursion to mountainous Adjara, one of the most beautiful places on Earth, that surrounds southwestern part of Georgia. Admire the picturesque landscapes and mountainous scenery, at an altitude of 2500 meters above sea level. En route, you will also encounter magnificent mountain forests, the longest river of Adjara - Adjaristskali, as well as the arched bridges in Mahuntseti and Maho. While at the beautiful Mahuntseti waterfall, we organize a picnic. Next, we visit Keda, where you will have the opportunity to taste two varieties of wine. Free evening.

 

Day 6-Free day / Batumi

After breakfast, free day.

 

Proposed excursion: For those who enjoy fishing, we propose full day fishing on a boat, at the waters of Adjara. Even if not lucky with fish, the beauty of the hidden beaches will dazzle you.

 

Day 7-Free day / Batumi

After breakfast, free day.

 

Day 8-Departure

In the morning, check-out, transfer to the Tbilisi Int. airport.  Have a good journey back home!
