Mountain Spring tour

Day 1-Arrival

Arrival at Tbilisi International Airport and hotel transfer. Tbilisi city tour: Old Tbilisi, Meidan, sulfur baths, Holy Trinity Cathedral, the fortress Narikala, Metekhi plateau, The Peace glass bridge, the Old city wall, Sharden street and other sightseeing. Mtskheta(ancient capital of Georgia) city tour:  The cultural monuments of the region are under UNESCO protection and have been declared as world heritage monuments. We visit the Svetitskhoveli, Cathedral of Mtskheta, where is saved the biggest treasure of the Georgian Church, the Shirt of the Lord. Also visit the monastery of Jvari. Dinner and overnight in Tbilisi.

 

Day 2-Stepantsminda (Kazbegi)

After breakfast, departure to Stepantsminda(former Kazbegi), known for its scenic location in the Greater Caucasus mountains, which is also a center for trekkers and mountain climbers. Visit Gergeti Sameba Church (XIV c.) at the height of 2170 meters, and the Sno Fortress. Walk through the town let and along the Georgian Military Road. Overnight in Stepantsminda.

 

Day 3-Barisakho / Khakhmati / Shatili

Early in the morning departure Barisakho, one of the largest villages of Khevsureti, 1460 meters above sea level. Visit Khakhmati, Datvisjvari Pass, St. Georges village and departure to Shaliti. Shatili is located in the deep Arghuni gorge at approximate 1,400 meters, and is a unique complex of medieval-to-early modern fortresses and fortified dwellings of stone. Overnight at a guesthouse in Shatili.

 

Day 4-Mutso / Chargali / Bazaleti

Early in the morning departure to Mutso, a small abandonded village, built located on a rocky mountain (1880 m).  The village is a home to Khevsur medieval fortified combat dwellings. Departure to Chargali and visit Vazha Pshavela's house museum, famous Georgian poet and departure to Bazaleti lake. Departure to Tbilisi and overnight.

 

Day 5-Signagi / Bodbe

After breakfast, departure to Signagi, the capital of wine and “Love City” of Georgia. The city will fascinate you with its traditional architecture, beautiful streets and cozy atmosphere, while overlooking the Alazani valley. Lunch and wine tasting of fine Georgian local wines at a local winery. Visit Bodbe, one of the major pilgrimage sites in Georgia, as it is associated to Nino of Cappadocia (4th c. female Georgian evangelist). Departure to Tbilisi and overnight.

 

Day 6-Free day / Tbilisi

 

Optional Excursions:

• Horseback riding and pic nic in the nature.

• Visit Tbilisi Sea and enjoy available activities (fishing, SPA etc)

 

Day 7-Departure

In the morning, check-out, transfer to the Tbilisi Int. Have a good journey back home!
